64 Days and Counting!

Embarrassing admission: the last couple of years, I have sent out store-bought Christmas cards. Gasp! I know, I know -- it's terrible! Our family life was so hectic for a while, that I just really dropped the ball. But I'm determined that this year, that is not going to happen. I've already made a few, and my goal is to have them all made by December 1st. I'd also really like to make some stocking stuffers, teachers' gifts, etc. So looking at the calendar this morning (64 days to go!), I'm feeling like I need to kick it into high-gear. How about you? When do you start crafting for Christmas? Do you set goals for yourself, or just go as the mojo strikes? One thing I'm always in need of while crafting for Christmas is fresh inspiration. I figure I can't be the only one in need of that, so today I have a few more Christmas cards by our fabulous designers to share with you.

At the top of today's post we have a sweet card by NanaConnie, made with the "Meowy Christmas" set. NanaConnie cut the image piece into such a fun shape, and I really like how the inking around the edges makes Oscar stand out. The pretty Christmas flowers are the perfect accents!

Here is a lovely card by Paula Bloom, made with the "Just Chillin'" set. The darling papers and sweet snowflake accents -- not to mention that gorgeous bow! -- that Paula used really give this a fun, festive feel!

I made this card using the new "Waiting for Santa" set  for my baby brother, as I know it will remind him of our Christmas mornings together when we were growing up.

Keep checking back for more Christmas card ideas. My aim is to keep you inspired throughout the upcoming season so that unlike me, you won't be stuck sending out store bought cards this year! ;-)

  2. Well Deedee you have done a great job of showing us some inspiration.. Every January I say I am going to make Christmas cards all year long so I'll be ready for the following season, but that has never work for me. I start out great for a couple of weeks and then I fizzle right out. I will confess that I, too, use store bought cards for people i don't see that much and who I know don't appreciate the work that goes into a hand made card, so you are not the only one. don't feel bad. These are adorable images and you should be very proud of your images. You have an outstanding DT working with you. Enjoy your evening.

  3. I love seeing what everyone makes with your wonderful digi images! Such inspiration all around! I began playing with weekly Christmas challenges in January of this year, and continued making Christmas cards all year long. I donated a bunch to OWH, saved 50 to donate to nursing homes, and am working on cards for hospitalized kids - PLUS I have 52 finished for me! I'm going to continue making them all year long in the coming year too - it works for me!
