For some reason, when I think of babies, I think "Spring." But the truth is, babies are born in all seasons, year-round. My sweet cousin, for example, is due to have her first baby next month, and my own three babies were each born in a different season, so I really don't know why "Spring" comes to mind -- LOL! We have a few different digi sets in our shop to celebrate babies, in case you have a new little one to welcome sometime soon. Today I thought I'd share some cards made with our "Baby Blessings Boy" and "Baby Blessings Girl" sets. Each of these sets includes a variety of outline and precolored images as well as printable, digital papers.
At the top of today's post we have a card made by Sandy Domelle using the "Baby Blessings Girl" set. Sandy did such a sweet job of coloring up this cutie, and adding pretty, girly accents. The Scripture verse just tops it all off -- babies are definitely blessings from above! :-)
Here's one that I made using the companion "Baby Blessings Boy" set. When my own son (now 22 years old!) was a baby, he had this darling pair of footed yellow jammies that I loved to put him in, so I colored this image to match. Oh how I miss those fresh-from-the-bath, snuggly-jammies days!
This darling card, by Jerusha Borden, was made with the "Baby Blessings Girl" set. Jerusha used one of the precolored images, accenting it with bright and festive but girly papers and a sweet bow. I really like how she tucked the sentiment in at the upper right of the image. Totally adorable!
Now here is another by me, using the "Baby Blessings Boy" set. Something fun about this card is that, except for the white card base and the ribbon and bow accents, it is completely digital. I layered the image, verse, and papers all in Photoshop, even adding drop shadows to some of the elements, and then printed it out. Now this isn't the type of card that I would enter in a "handmade" challenge, but it is a quick and easy way to create, and I thought I'd share to further demonstrate how versatile digis can be for your crafting. :-)
