Some Birthday Inspiration

What is the number-one type of card that you make? For me it is definitely birthday cards. There are so many special people in the world to help celebrate. :-) Today I have a few birthday cards that our team has made to share with you, to give you a little inspiration in this area.

This first card was made by Jerusha Borden. Using the "Oh Hoppy Day" set along with the perfect combination of papers and fun accents, she created such a cheery card! I especially like the way she framed the kangaroo -- it looks like it's ready to hop right off the card!

This next card was created by Sandy Domelle, using the "Wish Big" set. Aren't this card and that beautifully-glittered cake just fit for a princess? I really like all the feminine touches Sandy used on this!

Finally, here is one by little ol' me, using elements (including the background paper!) from the "Party Animals" set. I love to make "punny" cards, but somehow I bet that doesn't come as a surprise to you. ;-)

Freebie Frame & Scripture Verse

Hello friends! I had posted a couple of simple freebies here yesterday for you to play with, but somehow Blogger has lost the post. So, let's try this again!

Yesterday I was wanting something a little old-fashioned but simple to frame a Scripture verse and, not finding anything like it in my digi or stamp stash, I decided to make something. I thought some of you might also like to use this little rosebud frame, so here you go. I've included both the outline and color versions of the frame, as well as the word art that I made of the Scripture verse I wanted to use. Each file is a PNG that you will need to save separately. To download an image, first click on it to enlarge it to full size. Then right-click on it with your mouse, and then choose "Save As..." or "Save Image As...."

Please remember that these digis, although "freebies," are subject to our Terms of Use, which includes not sharing them except as part of finished projects. If there is someone who you think would like to have these, please send them here to get it, OK? Thanks so much for respecting my work, and enjoy! :-)

A Little Christmas Inspiration

I admit it -- I am a last-minute Christmas crafter! In those last couple weeks of December, you can pretty reliably find me hunched over my crafting table, trying to get those last cards and handmade gifts finished and mailed. But YOU don't need to be a last-minute crafter! We've started putting our Christmas sets in the shop already, and more are on their way. Today we have a little peek at a couple of projects some of our designers -- who are definitely not last-minute crafters -- have already come up with.

First up we have a gorgeous set of tags made by Cynthia Margaron. Cynthia used the "Beauty of the Season" set, and printed multiple versions of the poinsettia images to layer to create a fun, 3-D effect. Who wouldn't want to get a gift with one of these on it?

This next project was made by Becky Peterson. Using the "Merry & Bright" set, she created a fun little crayon gift packet, leaving the image on the front blank for the recipient to color.

How sweet is that? These would make great stocking stuffers, gifts for your children's classmates, or even something to keep on hand to keep excited nieces, nephews, and grandchildren busy while Christmas dinner is cooking. I notice Becky even included washable crayons -- definitely made by a mommy in the know! :-)

You can see more of our Christmas digis in our shop. Most can be found in the Holidays section, but look closely, as you'll occasionally find a sweet Christmas digi mixed in with another set.  And as I mentioned, more are coming soon! :-)

Keep in Touch

Are you good at keeping in touch with your friends and loved ones? I have to admit, this is a challenge for me, and it's one of the reasons that I started crafting -- to be able to make cards to send to let people know I'm thinking of them. Of course, I have to remember to send the cards, which is another challenge of mine that I'm constantly working on -- LOL!

Today I wanted to share a sweet set of cards that designer Diane Miller made to keep in touch with her loved ones. She used images and greetings from the "Keep In Touch" set, of course! :-) I really like how Diane made each card with its own style and sweet accessories, but kept them similar enough that they could even be given together as a little gift set to help her loved ones keep in touch with her. Very clever!

Here's what the whole set looks like. As always, it includes both outline and pre-colored images, along with sentiments to make keeping in touch easy-peasy. :-)

Fall Teddies

Now you know I am a fan of the teddy bear -- LOL! -- so I couldn't resist adding some new ones to our Fall line-up this year. Here's a sweet card that designer Melissa Craig made with the new Fall Teddies set. She used such a warm and wonderful combination of colors, papers, and textures on this. So sweet!

Here's what the whole set looks like. As you can see, there are teddies for the different occasions of Fall. Can't have an occasion go by without just the right teddy, can we? ;-)
