Gingerbread Holidays

Gingerbread: do you love it? I sure do! Especially the smell of it baking...yum!

You might be thinking it's a bit early in the season for gingerbread, but not if you're a Christmas crafter! :-) Today I have some gorgeous cards to share with you that were made using our "Gingerbread Holidays" set. If these don't make you hungry for a taste of Christmas, I don't know what will!

This first card was made by designer Cynthia Margaron. She used the pre-colored gingerbread house image from this set, and then spiced it up with her own doodles and scrumptious accents. Even the papers are patterned little gingerbread men. I tell you, this card looks good enough to eat -- LOL! She didn't stop with the card front, either. Here is the lovely inside:

Here is a darling card made by designer Paula Bloom, using the gingerbread people images from this set. This card has such a happy, whimsical feel to it, don't you think? The cute papers and homey accents, not to mention that icing border along the bottom of the greeting piece really make me want to take those little gingers by the hands and do a happy Christmas dance. Ah...Christmas! Soon, friends, soon! :-)

Sponsoring at Word Art Wednesday!

I'm very excited to share that we are sponsoring this week's challenge at Word Art Wednesday! Word Art Wednesday is a lovely, Christ-centered challenge. Each week they offer a free word art verse (sometimes Scripture, sometimes uplifting and encouraging) for challenge participants to use. The challenge is always "anything goes," as long as you use a positive verse on your card. You don't even have to use the one that they provide. Their team is amazingly talented and I love to pop over there each week to see what they have made, even when I don't have time to play along. The word art that they share is always inspirational, and somehow always appropriate to whatever I'm going through in life at the time. It is truly a joy and an honor to get to sponsor there! This week some of their team members have used our digis on their creations, so be sure to stop in for some extra inspiration. Also, if you get a chance to play along with the challenge, you'll have a chance to win some free digis from our shop! :-)

Today's card is one that I made using the lovely verse offered at Word Art Wednesday this week. It is Psalm 100:3 and reads, "Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture." Truly an important reminder for everyday living! It put me in mind of a masculine card, which I always find challenging to make, so was extra grateful for the inspiration. The images used on my card are from the "Happy Trails" and "Fluttering By" sets, two recent additions to the shop.

Autumn Blessings & a Winning Name

Good morning, friends! September is just speeding by, and Fall is finally, actually here! I know that I've been talking about Fall a lot lately, but it is my favorite season, and I enjoy it so thoroughly that I don't want to miss a single second! How about you?

In keeping with my obsession -- LOL! -- I am blessed to be able to share this beautiful card made by designer NanaConnie using the Autumn Blessings set today. This card has so many wonderful Fall elements in it. But what I really love is how NanaConnie combined the pre-colored flowers with her own spectactularly colored gourd. The texture she created on the gourd is so eye-catching, and really adds a rustic feel to her card, don't you think? So lovely, and such a creative way to use a pre-colored image!

Today I also have the winning name from our "Please Name This Kitty" contest to announce! Thank you VERY much to everyone who submitted names -- it was so fun to see the different ideas you came up with. I diligently tried each suggested name on for size throughout the week, but there is one that I just kept coming back to. The winning name is...

Due to a little bit of serendipity (great minds think alike!), we have two contest winners. Thank you to K. Joy and Lawren for the suggestion! I am so happy to have a name for our kitty. In appreciation, Oscar and I offer you each your choice of one digi set from our shop. Please take a peek and choose, and then email me directly at to claim your prize.
