A Friend

It's Friday -- hooray! Do you have fun plans for the weekend? My family will be resting up. After the last few busy weeks, it will be nice to have a weekend with nothing important on the calendar. Maybe if we get up some energy, we might actually take down the Christmas decorations. Most years they come down the day after Christmas, but this year we've been enjoying the continued comfort of the tree, lights, etc. Still, our neighbors are starting to give us funny looks, so perhaps it's time -- LOL!

Before you embark on whatever fun you have planned for this weekend, I wanted to share one more card for the week. This little darling was made by NanaConnie using the "Make a Joyful Noise" set. This card is such a cheerful celebration of friendship. Friends are some of the greatest gifts God gives us in this life, and I think it's so important that we let them know on a regular basis how important they are to us. This will make some happy mail indeed! :-)

Hello & DT Call Ending Soon

Hello friends, and happy New Year! I know I'm a day late, but cold-and-flu season has struck hard in my house, so it's been a struggle to get to the fun parts of life. At any rate, I hope you've had a wonderful start to the new year, and wish you all the best as the year progresses.

Today I have a cheery little "hello" card to share with you, another for my stash of "reach out" cards for this year. This was made with the "Chalk Talk" set, along with some very bright and cheery papers by My Little Yellow Bicycle. I know that bright colors aren't everyone's "thing," but this time of year especially, when the sky, ground, etc. are cold and kind of lifeless, I figure bright colors can really help to lift one's mood. This card will be going out to a friend who has been coping with long-term illness. I really hope that it lifts her spirits just a bit!

While I have your eyes (because how can you possibly look away from all this bright cheeriness -- LOL!), I wanted to just remind you that the deadline for our current Design Team Call is coming up quickly. Applications close Monday, 6 January, so if you're interested, please apply ASAP.

Wishing you a bright and cheery day! :-)
