Ladybug Hugs

"Ladybug hugs"...it's one of those silly things my girls and I used to "give" each other when they were little, along with "butterfly kisses." I don't know if ladybugs can really give hugs, but it's a cheery thought, isn't it? :-) Here is a lovely card made by designer Donna Hanley using the "Ladybug Hugs" digi set, which is all about cheery! The CAS ("Clean And Simple") style of this is perfect with this image, as is the way Donna repeated the "dots" pattern from the ladybug's shell throughout the card in her choices of papers and embossing textures. Also, although you might not realize it at first glance, Donna actually printed the image and sentiment straight on to her yellow dotted paper. It's a great look, and a fun and easy way to keep things looking CAS when you are going for that style!
