Caroling Snowman with Kathy D.

Our September Guest Designer, Kathy D. of "Dunnitagain Designs," is back this week with another fabulous creation to share! This month we are sponsoring the challenges at 52 {Christmas Card} Throwdown, so Kathy decided to use their sketch challenge from this week to create her card for us. Kathy says that when she rotated the sketch a bit to decide on her design, she was reminded of a snowman. (Take a peek at the sketch and you'll see it, too!) So a snowman card she made, and how lucky for us! Could this card be any cuter?!?

To make this, Kathy used the "Caroling Snowman" digi set. She paper-pieced the image, and created a snowy scene around him using these cheery papers and a variety of punched elements. The sketch on which her card is based shows stitching around the edges of the card. Instead, Kathy substituted a repeated sentiment from the same digi set. Very clever, and such a wonderful way to tie the whole scene together!

You can read more about this and Kathy's other lovely creations at her blog, "Dunnitagain Designs."  She'll be back next Wednesday with another fun project to share, so remember to stop back!

One last note: if you're interested in joining in the sketch challenge at 52 {Christmas Card} Throwdown, you have until Friday evening at 6pm GMT to submit your creation. We'll be sponsoring there all month long, and there will be a new challenge each week. We are also sponsoring this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches, where they have another fantastic sketch for you to model, and at City Crafter Challenge where the theme is "butterflies." So much fun! See the list in our right sidebar for more fun opportunities this month to play and possibly win some of our digis!
