Scrapbook Saturday: Energy Saver Mode!
After a long, busy week, Saturday is the perfect day to be a little lazy, or, as I like to tell my family, spend a little time in "energy saver mode!" For today's Scrapbook Saturday share, Melissa Craig has made a fun page commemorating her son in one of these "energy saver" moments. I love the look on his face, like he can barely muster enough energy to acknowledge the photographer -- ha ha! I have seen this look so many times on my own children's faces, and I bet you have on yours as well!
To create this layout, Melissa used a dotty paper and a sentiment from the "Lazy Day" set. She added visual interest not by adding lots of embellishments, but by rotating the layers to create a fun geometric pattern that highlights the photo itself. This really shows how scrapbooking does not need to be overly complicated to be beautiful. The important part is the memories that are captured, and this one is priceless!
