Scrapbook Saturday: First Day of School
Labor Day has come and gone, and with it, Summer vacation for American children. Like it or not, the school year has begun! Personally, I've always felt this to be a very exciting time, especially for the first-time school-goers. Knowing that they are learning new concepts, making new friends, taking steps towards bright futures -- it's all so thrilling!
For today's Scrapbook Saturday post, Melissa Craig has made a darling "first day of school" layout to share. In this layout, her son Levi headed off to the 5th grade, and Melissa captured fabulous photos of this adventure, as she always does. I especially love seeing him climb aboard the school bus -- a rite of passage to be sure! Melissa used paper and a digi from the "Teacher's Pet" set to create this celebratory page. Something extra fun about her page design is that she took a simple white matte for the photos and spruced it up to be something special! The stitching around the edges of the matte, along with the year numbers give it great appeal, and the white just really makes her colorful photos stand out.
Thanks for sharing another wonderful memory with us, Melissa, and in such a fun way!
