Sponsoring at Clear It Out Challenge!

Do you hoard craft supplies? I sure do! I've been a crafter most of my life, and have way more supplies than I will probably use in my lifetime. I made a New Year's vow a couple of years ago to not buy anything other than glue and the like until I worked through what I had. Let's just say that I haven't even made a dent in it. If you, like me, need a little extra push to use up some of those supplies you've been hoarding, why not give the challenge at "Clear It Out" a try? Each week at Clear It Out, there is a different challenge theme, but an important part of each challenge is "and use something from your stash!" This week the challenge theme is to lift your favorite card of 2014 (one of their designers' or someone else's) plus use something from your stash. If that isn't an easy challenge, I don't know what is! Plus, if you play along, you could win $15 digis from our shop. With the going-out-of-business sale we have going, that could buy you a lot of digis!

Here's a card that I made for this challenge. I lifted this card that Laura of the C.I.O. team made for the August 5 challenge.

As you can see, I copied the layout, theme, and general colors of her card. Using pre-colored digis from the "Ugly Sweaters" set (HERE for non-EU residents and HERE for EU residents) this card came together in less than 5 minutes -- a first for me. The "stash" elements that I used include the Kraft cardstock base (in my stash for 3 years) and the stick-on red "brads" (in my stash for 2 years). Thanks, Laura, for the inspiration!

This truly was one of the easiest challenges ever, and I hope you'll stop by and give it a try. :-)

  1. Darling card Deedee. I'm hoping that's the "nice" list Santa is reading and I'm hoping that my name is on it. Thanks for sharing your lifted card.

  2. Gorgeous cards, Deedee! Love the sketch you used! Yes, I am a craft hoarder! I am not buying any new crafty goodies either, but more for economical reasons LOL. But truthfully, I have so much stash, I won't need anything for a long time! Except maybe adhesive. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
