Carnivals: they're a ton of fun, and almost a rite of passage in childhood. The rides, the food, the laughs with friends and family. Good times that are definitely worth remembering! Today for Scrapbook Saturday, designer Melissa Craig has created a page using the "Carnival Kids" set to preserve one such fun experience with her children. She used the colorful papers that are included in this set, along with the banner image and some of her own text. (Melissa uses "MyMemory Suite" for easy digital page creation.) Can't you just feel the FUN? This page is part of a two-page spread, and I'll be sharing the other half with you for our next Scrapbook Saturday. Be sure to check back! :-)

My Gram used to tell me that, "Into each life, a little rain must fall." She meant it in both the literal and figurative senses, and I have always found it to be true. Without actual rain, our crops don't grow, and without spiritual rain, our souls don't grow. But even knowing they are needed, those rainy days can still be tough to weather, can't they? A good umbrella and a pair of galoshes help with the actual rain, but we need so much more to weather the spiritual type. Prayer and Scripture are my helpmates during those tough times, but equally important are those loving people who reach out to help. Whether with a helping hand or just a kind word of encouragement, having someone reach out to you when you are in the midst of a storm can make a world of difference! Sometimes that little bit of caring is all it takes to make a storm cloud dissipate. Today's project share is all about that -- reaching out and letting somebody know you care. Designer Paula Bloom used the image of Daniel with his umbrella from the "Rainy Day" set to create this warm and heartfelt card. I love the sweet bow with the flower in the center she added. It gives that hint of spring that is so encouraging, that says, "The lighter days are coming." I know her card is going to be a great encouragement to someone! :-)

I have been hearing from friends and family all over the country that January is turning out to be a very cold month. True, it's winter, but it does seem to be an extra chilly one. Snow and ice make great subjects for cardmaking, but aren't so fun when trying to go about the business of daily living. Well, I can't do anything about the temperatures outside, but how about some spring-like inspiration for today to warm your heart and mind?
Here we have a darling set of tags made by designer Cynthia Margaron. Cynthia used the precolored images from the "Bugs and Blooms" set, and embellished her tags with dotty papers, sweet buttons, and fun punched butterflies to create these. Each one is a little delight, but as a collection, well they are so sweet that they just make me feel all warm inside. How about you? Remember, "No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow." Stay warm, friends! :-)

Happy Monday! I hope you had a terrific weekend! I thought we'd start the week with a little inspiration for our "Digi of the Month" challenge players. Here is a sweet card made with this month's digi -- "Sending My Love" -- by designer Carol Longacre. Carol used the precolored image from the set, embellishing it with a variety of sweet hearts and some fun, glittery snow. The tiny hearts on her background paper add to the love. Isn't this precious?
If you played along with our December challenge, you should have received this month's set already in your email. If you are new to our challenges, you can find the details of this month's challenge HERE. You have until Sunday, 2 February to play along and receive next month's digi for free. As always, we look forward to seeing what you make! :-)
