Scrapbook Saturday: Thought Of You And Smiled

Welcome to another Scrapbook Saturday inspiration, brought to you by designer Melissa Craig. This week Melissa has created a lovely, Spring-like layout using her MyMemorySuite program along with elements from the "Bugs and Blooms" set. The background papers, butterfly image, and sentiment are all from this set. She layered in a bit of flat black, which really makes the other colors shine out. Aren't the digital buttons and bow sweet? Of course, her smiling children are the stars, as always in Melissa's layouts! :-)

Always Time for Love!

Valentine's Day may have passed for another year, but love isn't restricted to Valentine's Day, thank goodness! Today we have a sweet "I love you" card to share, made by designer Lynn Hayes. Lynn used the "All My Love" set featuring "Bonsai" the panda to make this. I really like how she carried the black, white, and red color scheme throughout the card. She popped up the balloon to give it some dimension. That combined with the fun doodling around the edges of the tag, and the gauzy ribbon tied with twine all show she put an amazing amount of love into this. Remember, there is always time for love, no matter what day the calendar says it is! :-)

P.S. All of our hearts/love/Valentine sets are still on sale at 50% thru the end of the month. Most of the sales sets aren't Valentine-related, and can be used for projects of all sorts. Be sure to stop by and check them out before they go back to full price!

Framed Comfort

The Bible is full of comforting verses, verses that let us know that in times of need or trouble, the Lord is always with us. For today's card share, designer Stephanie Wright has framed one such lovely verse. Stephanie used some Scripture word art by Karen Murray and framed it with one of the pre-made frames from the "Framed Comfort" set. She accented it with several hand-colored butterflies from this same set. Isn't this gorgeous? The colors that she used are so striking, and the movement created by the butterflies really accents the hopeful message of this verse. Such an encouraging card, and a wonderful reminder of God's enduring love for us!

Challenge Inspiration Week 3

Happy Tuesday! I hope you enjoyed the extra-long weekend, and are starting out this week feeling nice and refreshed. :-)

We are in week three now of our February Digi of the Month Challenge, so I have some fresh inspiration to share with you today. This enchanting card was made by designer Zella Turley, using this month's challenge digi, "Turtle-riffic Day." The soft colors that she used, and the fun way she carried the polka dot design from the turtle out into the rest of the card are so delightful! I especially like the little button accents, which seem to be bouncing along with the way she placed them.

If you are new to our challenges, you can find information about this month's challenge set and how to play along HERE. Don't forget, if you make and share a project using this month's digi by Sunday, March 2, you'll receive next month's featured set for free! :-)
