When my kids were little, there was nothing more exciting to them than "outside time." In today's Scrapbook Saturday layout, you can see that baby Leo is of the same mind! Designer Melissa Craig did a beautiful job of capturing some of this darling little guy's outside time. Melissa used digital papers and frames from the "Lots of Thoughts" set to create this layout. Melissa creates her pages digitally, using her MyMemories Suite (TM). However, all of our set elements are fully printable, so even if you are a paper scrapbooker, you can still create a layout much like this one. I love how she combined a variety of shapes, patterns, and textures in this, yet the photo still shines out. Best of all, though, is her wonderful journalling -- so crucial to our scrapbook pages! -- and especially that of little Leo's thought as he treks outside: "I know this is the way to my Grandpa's house." The only thing better than outside time is a trip to the grandparents', and little Leo has both on his mind! :-)

It's the first of May, and it's a beautiful day! We are fully into Spring, moving towards Summer, and the world around us is just so alive! To welcome this wonderful month, today we have an equally wonderful card, created by designer NanaConnie. NanaConnie used an image and sentiment from the new "Spring Blocks" set to create this. Her card is so rich in color! The fun corner treatment she used beneath the daisy image, along with the sweet bow and mini buttons just pulls this Spring scene together so beautifully. It just feels so alive, like the world around us this time of year. "Wishing you a beautiful day,"...the perfect sentiment for this card, and exactly what we wish for you today! :-)

As a Christian, one of the most beautiful things to me is cross imagery. Every cross that I see, from the simple wooden ones to the more ornate representations are reminders of the most amazing gift that I have ever or will ever receive -- salvation! For today's share, we have a beautiful rendition of a cross created by designer Zella Turley. Zella used the outline cross image from the "Christ is Risen" set. She was inspired by old stained glass church windows, and decided to try to replicate the effect of the sun shining through and lighting up the image. To do so, she colored the image completely with Stickles (TM). I have never seen an image colored this way, but the effect is truly stunning, don't you think? Zella says that the photograph doesn't do the effect justice, but I still think it's pretty spectacular, just like the miracle of salvation! :-)

Hello! Or should I say, "Shell-o!" ;-)
For today's share, we have a delightful card made by designer Rhonda Miller. Rhonda used two images from the "Oceans of Joy" set to create this cheery ocean-bottom scene. She printed the background, and then cut out the crab and added him in. Don't you just *love* the little blue pearl bubbles she added? Such wonderful ways to add dimension, while keeping the card beautifully clean and simple!

Some of our designers made projects to help get you thinking about how you might use this set. We'll have more inspiration each week throughout the challenge as well. At the top of today's post is a lively card by designer Kren Kurts. She used a lot of terrific, masculine textures in this, and the repeating banner shapes are fun. Here's what the inside looks like:
Here's one that I made. I went pretty "clean and simple" with this, showcasing just the tie banner image and a sentiment, but like Kren, used several textures on the paper strips to liven it up.
This last card was made by designer Donna Hanley. Donna used the main panda image, but also trimmed the pieces of the tie banner to lay them out in a different pattern. Very clever! The spongeing gives this scene such warmth, and the little heart accents really convey the love!
