Every day is someone's birthday. Is yours today? If so, happy birthday!
For today's share, we have a delightful birthday card, designed by Carol-Happy Expressions. Carol used the pre-colored image from the "Cup of Joy" set. She made it her own with the addition of festive sparkles and background inking. Aren't those embossed balloons she added to the arrangement adorable? Anyone would love to get a treasure like this, and unlike a live flower arrangement, this one will last forever! Perfect for wishing someone a happy birthday. :-)

I think we've all had days when we felt like this sad little bulldog. It means so much when somebody reaches out to us, doesn't it? One of the great joys of papercrafting is being able to use our crafting to do this. Today we have a great example of this with a card made by designer Judith Wright. Judith used elements from the "Darling Doggies" set to create this wonderfully encouraging card. I really like the layering effects that Judith used on this to give the image dimension. It's also very fun how she applied the pattern from the paw-print paper, which is included in this digi set, to the dog house. The combination of sentiments is just perfect for letting someone know they are thought of in their time of need. A marvelous card of encouragement, and such a great way to use digis! :-)

Summer is in full swing here in Northern California, with temps lingering near 100 degrees Farenheit. Phew! I am thinking about a nice swim in cool waters followed by an icy glass of lemonade -- how about you? Well, if we can't do it, we can at least craft about it, right?
For today's share, we have a couple of "cool" cards, made with our Digi of the Month -- "Life's a Beach." If you don't already have this set, you can purchase it at our shop thru 29 June for just $1.25. Then create and link up any wholesome project by our challenge deadline, and you will automatically receive next month's featured set for FREE! For more details, please see this month's challenge post.
This first card (at the top of this post) was made by designer Danielle Vincent. She used the image of Perdita in her innertube, floating peacefully in the water. Ahh...so relaxing! The papers that Danielle used add to the serene feel of this scene. And isn't it wonderful how she applied a "stain" to the sentiment piece to match that on the lovely sand dollar accent?
This second card was made by designer Lynn Hayes, using the image of Pugsley relaxing with a cool drink. Lynn created the perfect scene for this happy little pig, between the sandy beach, palm tree, and the blue sky filled with sweet fluffy clouds. Definitely a little piece of paradise!
I do envy both of these little pigs their cool escapes today. Wherever you are, and whatever the outdoor temperatures, I hope you find your own little piece of paradise today!
