Scrapbook Saturday: Silly Time With Family

Time spent being silly with your family -- it's an incredible joy, isn't it? For today's "Scrapbook Saturday" share, Melissa Craig has made a wonderful page to celebrate this special time. Melissa used an image and paper from the "Little Miracles" set to accent the fun photos of all these wonderfully happy faces. I love how the extra swirly paper she added in the background evokes that feeling of laughter and silliness, too. You can almost hear it! :-)

A Picnic and a Few Ants

Sunny days are perfect for picnicking! I don't know what it is about eating outside that is so enjoyable, but it is fun, isn't it? Of course, no picnic is complete without a few ants. Today Carol Longacre has created a delightful picnic of a card to share with you, ants included! Carol used two different images from the "Life's a Picnic" set to set this summery scene. There are so many fun details in this, and each time I look I see something new. See how she used the ant holding the watermelon to create a repeating border? Fun! And look at that little ruffle along the bottom of the main image piece! It feels like she's set the table for the picnic. The darling yellow daisy clip and brad on the basket handle add little rays of sunshine to the whole scene. She even carried the design into the inside of the card. Truly a picnic for the eyes! :-)

Hanging Out with Word Art Wednesday

This week Deedee's Digis is "hanging out" with the lovely team at Word Art Wednesday. Word Art Wednesday is a wonderful challenge based around encouraging Scripture verses. But you don't have to use a Scripture verse on your challenge entry -- any projects that incorporates a positive sentiment is permitted. Stop over and play along with this week's challenge for a chance to win any three digi sets of your choice from our shop!

Speaking of "hanging out," we have a couple of terrific cards to share today that were made by Marji (aka "Tiggerscraps") using the "Loads of Love" set. Both cards have a fabulous "vintage" feel to them, thanks to the charming papers and accents that Marji used. These are both great examples of how you can use pre-colored images but still totally personalize your projects to fit your style and crafting needs, don't you think? :-)

Homegrown Love

Today is national "Eat Your Veggies Day." Seems like the perfect time to share this garden-fresh card by designer Mary H. (aka "Carolina Cards"). Mary created this sweet summer scene using elements from the "Bigelow's Bounty" set along with a variety of fun punches. Her tree and those sweet clouds are especially eye-catching! I also love the shadows Mary added to this. They really help to ground the images and bring a "realness" to the scene. This definitely makes me want to grab some fresh veggies to snack on today -- how about you? :-)

Challenge Inspiration Week 3

We're at the halfway point of our June "Digi of the Month" challenge. If you haven't played along yet, there's still plenty of time. But don't wait too long to join us -- you don't want to miss your chance to get next month's set for FREE! To help inspire your creativity, here are a couple of fresh creations by our designers.

This first lovely card (at the top of this post) was made by Carol-Happy Expressions. Carol did a wonderful job coloring Perdita, giving her a darling yellow-and-white polka-dotted swimsuit to match the flower tucked behind her ear. The pearly pink flower accents add a sweet sun-kissed feel to this summery card.

This next card was created by Kren Kurts. Kren added wonderful swirly papers and ocean life die cuts to create a beachy world for Perdita.

She also used a very fun fold, so that when the card is opened, the image piece spins around to show the greeting. Fun, yes?

To join this month's challenge, and receive next month's set for FREE, simply create any wholesome project using this month's featured set, "Life's a Beach," and link it to the June challenge post by Sunday, 29 June.
