The funny thing about weather is that we always seem to be wishing for whichever form of it we don't have at the moment. If it's freezing cold outside, we wish for sunshine, and when it's hot as an oven outside, we wish for snow. Well, we can't do anything to actually change the weather for you, but we can give you a delightfully snowy scrapbook page to look at today!
For this week's "Scrapbook Saturday" share, Melissa Craig has captured sweet memories of her daughter on a snowy day. Melissa used papers, images, and a sentiment from the new "Snowflakes" set to create this beautiful page. The metallic-looking border and sentiment frame set off the blues in these pre-colored images so beautifully, and coordinate so well with little Hollyanne's snow jacket. The greeting frame even looks like it has a touch of snow on it -- so sweet!
Ah...I'm feeling cooler already! How about you? :-)

I don't know about you, but I've had a crazy week! It's been one of those weeks -- you know, the kind where one just feels so blessed to have made it to Friday? To celebrate, I've added a new FREEBIE to the shop! "Triple Scoop" will be available to download for free at our shop thru the end of the day Thursday, July 24. I'm going to have some fun relaxing this evening and playing with it, and yes, I will probably eat ice cream while I do so -- ha ha! Wishing you a terrific weekend! :-)

Did you know that "Dog Days of Summer" refers to an actual period of time each summer? Apparently it refers to a period of about 20 days before and 20 days after the alignment of the "Dog Star" (Sirius) with the sun, from about July 3 to August 11 (source: Infoplease.com). In olden days, this time frame was typified by "sultry" days and nights, along with lots of "discomfort," thus the common usage of the term to refer to the hottest days of the season. You learn something new every day, right?
Speaking of the "Dog Days of Summer," we have a fun share today featuring our set of the same name! Lynn Hayes has created this darling card featuring two hot dogs who have found a way to keep cool. Lynn colored the image beautifully, bringing in the warm colors of the season. I especially love how she colored the dog in the pool, with his adorable spots! The die-cut sun really brings this fun scene together perfectly.
Wherever you are in the world, I hope you are keeping comfortable today! If nothing else, you can follow these darling dogs' examples and drag out the wading pool -- the kids won't mind, trust me! ;-)

Everybody needs a buddy, so why not a bot buddy? :-) Today I wanted to share a couple of cards that I made using our new "Bot Buddies" set. I so rarely get to make cards these days, but I needed a way to reach out to two of my nephews, whose lives are a bit hectic right now. So I used two of the robot images, and colored them up with Copic (TM) markers to create these. Now I just need to get them in the mail with a little care package for each of the boys! Hopefully they will know they are loved and feel a bit encouraged, and, after all, that's the reason for card-making isn't it?

A new week has arrived, ripe with promise! What will you do this week? Maybe play along with our July Digi of the Month Challenge? ;-)
For this week's challenge inspiration, we have a whimsical card made by Judith Wright. Judith has been having a grand time crafting with this month's featured/challenge set -- "So Cool", and this is her latest masterpiece. She used the penguin image and one of the greetings from our set, along with a variety of other clever, summery digital elements to create this. I love all the bright colors in this, and the playful layout. Just perfect to celebrate a summer birthday!
Birthday cards are just one of the many ways you could use this month's featured set. Remember, the set -- "So Cool" -- is available for just $1.25 this month, or FREE with your order of $10 or more, and if you link up what you make with it to our challenge post by 2 August, you'll get next month's set for FREE. Have a fantastic week!
