One Last Sponsorship!

December 31st...my goodness, how did this year pass so quickly?!? With the close of the year, so comes the closing of our shop. Today is the last day to purchase any digis from our shop that you want before they retire. The shop will close at midnight Pacific Time.

Before we close up shop, we have one last very fun sponsorship to share about. Over at the Crafty Girls Corner, they are celebrating their 52nd weekly challenge and one year blog-iversary with a big bash. They have their usual weekly challenge (theme: "Anything Goes!"), along with a blog hop, and several different prizes from various sponsors on offer, including a package of some of our most popular digi set. Woo-hoo -- what a fun way to wind down the year! A big congratulations to the Crafty Gals Corner team, and wishes for many more fun challenges to come! Some of our team has made projects to join in the fun, and to inspire you one last time before we say goodbye. Enjoy! :-)

Snow Day

Today Kathleen has another adorable creation to share with us.  I just love the soft blues and the embossing folder she used is one of my go-to folders.  This is such a sweet card don't you think?  She used Birdie's Snow Day for this card.

You can find more of Kathleen's creations by visiting her Splitcoast Stampers Gallery.  Be sure to take a few moments and visit her this week.  She would love the company!!

Thank you, ,Kathleen for being such a wonderful Guest Designer this month.

Thank you to all our past Guest Designers as well.  It's been truly an honor working with you all.

Be sure to head over to the shop to get all the great digi's you would want....time is running short.

Crafting the Winter Away

Winter is the perfect time for crafting! Who wants to be out in the cold when you could be warm at home with a yummy cup of cocoa, coffee, or tea, making all sorts of fun things? If you're not feeling inspired, there are many, many crafty challenges out there to help you get started. Did you know that there are even whole groups on Facebook that you can join for challenges and inspiration? The Crafting From the Heart challenge, for example, has one such group, and we are even sponsoring their member challenge this month! The theme is "Anything Goes," and since our shop will be closing Friday, we're offering a prize package of a few hand-selected digi sets from among our most popular sets. If you'd like to join this challenge, you need to request to become a member of the Crafting From the Heart group, but this is just a formality so they can keep track of their members and don't get spammers joining up (it happens!!!).

A couple of our team members joined in the fun. They definitely know how to craft the winter away! :-)

Peaceful Winter

Only a couple more days until Christmas is here.  I know we are all busy finishing those last minute projects...wrapping gifts....visiting friends and family.  And we all love those things.  But sometimes we need to sit down and have a few peaceful moments.  Kathleen, our December Guest Designer, has created a card that reminds us of just that - those peaceful moments.

Kathleen used the set Winter Woods for her card this week. Aren't those deer just adorable!?  And even though much of the USA is experiencing warmer temps than usual and not much snow, it certainly reminds us of those quiet winter days and how wonderful they certainly can be.

You can find more of Kathleen's creations by visiting her Splitcoast Stampers Gallery.  Be sure to take a few moments and visit her this week.  She would love the company!!

Kathleen has one more creation to share with us so be sure to come back next week!  You won't be disappointed!!!

Favorite Christmas Colors

What are your favorite Christmas colors? Red and green are certainly traditional, but in the last few years especially I've seen lots of other beautiful color combinations in use. Over at the Sparkles Christmas Challenge, they would love to see what your favorites are. Our beloved teamie Sheena Mckee made not one but two lovely cards to share with you today to show you her favorites -- icy blue and silver! These are also great examples of how you can take one digi set -- "Ornamental Icy" in this case -- and make multiple totally different but equally gorgeous projects with it. So fun!

Nutcracker Magic

Are you ready?  It's right around the corner you know.  Christmas is coming whether we are ready or not.  I hope you're enjoying the season and that you are creating wonderful memories with those you love.

Our December Guest Designer,Kathleen, is back with us this week to share a wonderful Christmas creation.  She used Nutcrackers for this fun card!  Doesn't this make you want to go listen to The Nutcracker Suite?

I just love the touch of the sparkle tape and the buttons.  She really brought home the red and green Christmas colors too!

When I asked Kathleen about her technique and style (which I absolutely love!) she said:

I am not sure what technique I use. Maybe you can tell me! I'm kinda self taught.  I really just make my cards and don't think to much about it.  I need to spend more time learning different techniques.

About 15 months ago I suffered a severe detached retina.  Since then I have had drops, injections and 2 more surgeries to correct complications from that.  That leaves me with one eye to use, and often my cards are a little off kilter, which as a perfectionist drives me crazy!

I love challenges as they give me a reason, and often a sketch to use, to make cards.  I found that before I stumbled on the challenges I didn't make many cards.  Now often I leave them blank so that I can adapt them to whatever occasion I have.

You can find more of Kathleen's creations by visiting her Splitcoast Stampers Gallery.   Stop by and visit her - she would love for you to visit and leave her some love too!

Be sure to come back next week and see what wonderful project Kathleen has in store for us....it's very peaceful.  (Hint-hint!)

First up, the ladies over at Tuesday Throwdown would love to see your "Anything Goes" projects. Christmas Sweetness!

It's Wednesday and that means that we have another lovely creation from our December Guest Designer - Kathleen Benedict!  If you remember last week Kathleen used Baked With Love for her card.  Well, this week she is keeping with the baking theme and she made gingerbread!  Well, maybe she has gingerbread cookies at home, but what she is sharing with us is her card using Gingerbread Holidays.  Isn't it just yummy!!??

Those little gingerbread kids look like they are going to run right off her card!

Kathleen shared a little more about herself:

My favorite paper craft is cards.  I really haven't gotten into other projects.  I guess I am happy where I am! My top  go to craft items are the dp that I use to start my cards and I design them around that.  I love using little embellies, and ribbon or buttons to dress up the cards.

You can find more of Kathleen's creations by visiting her Splitcoast Stampers Gallery.  Be sure to stop by and visit her - she would love it!!

Come back next Wednesday to see what Kathleen has up her sleeve.....
