Introducing the March Guest Designer: Donna of Indiana Inking

Set Used:
Deedee set up to have Donna Rinckel - Indiana Inking Blog be our Guest Designer for March. I thought I recognized that name from seeing it in challenges but wasn't sure until I went to her blog. Then I remembered because I love her style...simple but with a punch of  "wow!" Then she sent me this card and I literally said "wow" as I looked at it!! I'm not sure that is how she would describe her work but that is how I describe it. :)

She made this card for her son's upcoming wedding in May. Their colors are blue and yellow so she made a distress inked background with Salty Ocean, Mustard Seed and Peacock Feathers. Okay, is that not a WOW background. Maybe I'm jealous because I'm afraid of inks but I love this look! (Hmmm...maybe I can get her to mail me a whole bunch of inked backgrounds!!) Then she fussy cut the hearts out and adds it to the side of the die cut to make it all flow together. Get is also a SHAKER Card....WOW!!! Just beautifully done and all with simple touches....WOW!!

So now that we have been "wow" over her work let's get to know her a little!

She lives in Bloomington, Indiana with her very supportive husband, Tom. They have three children who are all grown and out on their own but no grandchildren just yet.  She and Tom  love to be outdoors and hike a lot in good weather.

She was introduced to stamping in 2007 by a close friend and the rest is history! Her mother sent cards to everyone so after her mother passed away, she thought it would be nice to continue the tradition. Instead of store bought cards she makes handmade cards to send out to family and friends. Now her friends and family as her to make them homemade cards so they can send them out to their family and friends. So she makes card packages and gives them as Christmas gifts!

She is not just limited to card making because she love all kinds of paper crafting and will try just about anything once. LOL!  She also enjoys crocheting, cross stitch and reading.  There are lots of crafty things on her bucket list with a couple of them learn to knit, do origami and quilling when she retires.

If you want the exact details of what she used on her card or to see more of her awesome work check out her blog - Indiana Inking

  1. Lovely card Donna. Congratulations on being guest designer for March

  2. Donna you are certainly a very talented lady in many fields. This card is just lovely and your son and future bride will treasure it for years to come. This is a gorgeous way to use the "two Heats" image and a shaker card to boot. I agree with Kathy WOW! Thanks for sharing.
