Trying new things with Donna

I couldn't decide if the title should be "Trying New Things" or "I think I can, I think I can". When Donna sent me these cards she explained that while making the cards..."if it could go wrong it did!" She had to make these cards several times until she got the end results she wanted. I'm so glad she didn't give up!!

One of Donna's New Year's resolution was to try new techniques so she tried Bokeh.

Which I had no clue what that was so I looked it up on Wikipedia - is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens.[3][4][5] Bokeh has been defined as "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light"

I think she did an amazing job trying out a new technique. I love the colors she used as they are perfect for Easter. If you want details on how this was done please go to Donna's Blog - Indiana Inking.

Then she just decided to keep making Easter cards and came up with these:

I love the flower patterned paper with this bunny! I also love that bunny has glittered ears!

I like how she did a block background to continue with the blocked theme in the image.

This should definitely get you in the mood for Easter and give you some inspiration. But if you need more come back tomorrow as I have more Easter inspiration from the Design Team.

Thank you Sarah W for leaving a comment last week about sending a card to previous co-worker. So glad you brightened someone's day. Send me an email ( and I will get you set up with your surprise!

Hope your week continues to be spirit lead and God filled!

  1. Donna did a stellar job with each of these! I have never seen the bokeh technique before, but wow -- how cool is that?!? Thanks for the extra info about it, too, Kathy. Congratulations, Sarah!
