From the Heart (Scrapbook Saturday)

Happy Saturday, and for those who celebrate it, Happy Valentine's Day! Today we have another gorgeous digital scrapbook layout to share with you, made by our resident scrapbooker, Melissa Craig. Using elements from the "From the Heart" set (available HERE for European Union residents or HERE for non-EU residents) along with some from her own stash of embellishments, Melissa created this "forever love" kind of page. Everything about this screams "romance" to me, from the doily photo matte to the scrollwork photo corner. Don't forget the chocolate heart sentiments. The first two -- "I'm Yours," and "Love You," are included in the digi set that she used. To make the third, Melissa layered her own sentiment over the plain chocolate heart that is also include in the set to say, "Forever." Such a great way to show how versatile digis can be! This page is just beyond beautiful!

Looking at the fantastic page gives me goosebumps. I must admit, though, it's partly because that's me and my hubby, nearly 25 years ago, on the occasion of our marriage engagement in that photo. I see this now and think about how very, very young we were. We had no idea what the future held, but we were committed to each other, for the rest of our lives. <sigh> We've had a lot of ups and downs, but I still love him with all my heart, and am still totally committed...thanks for the poignant reminder, Melissa. ;-)

Carnival Kids with Granmargaret

Everybody needs a little fun in their life, right? For today's dose of fun, we have this fantastic card by our February Guest Designer, Granmargaret. Granmargaret used a whole host of elements from the "Carnival Kids" set to create this. I don't know about you, but I feel like I'm at the carnival just looking at this card! The exhilarating rides...the junky-but-oh-so-delicious food...the oversized stuffed toy game prizes...the bright lights and colorful, decorative pennants...Granmargaret captured it all. It all brings back such wonderful memories of past carnivals, and makes me long for the county fair to come to town.

If you, too, are longing for the carnival, and would like to create your own fabulous carnival scene, you can find the "Carnival Kids" set  HERE for European residents and HERE for non-EU residents).

For more inspiration by Granmargaret, you can visit her blog -- "Granmargaret's Cards & Stuff." Be sure to stop back here next Wednesday, too, for another of her fun creations.

Digi of the Month Challenge Inspiration

How about some fresh inspiration today for our Digi of the Month challenge players? The Design Team has been hard at work crafting wonderful things made with this month's featured set -- "Forever Friends" -- to share with you.

Look at the fun colors that Carol used to color these tigers, and the great message of this card -- just be you!

Marji layered the colored image and a sentiment from the "Forever Friends" set over digital paper from the "My Life is Blessed" set to create this sweet card of support.

Here's a fun project for you to try -- a corner bookmark! NanaConnie got really creative in putting this one together, adding her own sentiment that is just perfect for a bookmark -- "The End."

Remember, you have until Sunday, 1 March to create and link up your own project for this challenge and receive next month's featured set for FREE. Happy crafting! :-)

Check out this Inspiration

With all the confusion of the store closing and then staying open we made a mistake and thought we were sponsoring Completely Christmas this week. So Tamara and Carol made beautiful cards that fit the challenge - use one snowflake. Well I didn't want their hard work and beautiful art pieces to go to waste so I decided to do a post to show off what the team has been up to. Hopefully it will inspire you to get in your craft room and play!
