When a challenge ask for "texture" on a project what do think of? That is exactly what Completely Christmas wants to see on your project....Texture! How will you accomplish this? See how Carol and Donna met this challenge...
So often we rush through life, simply marking items off our "to-do" list. Then we look back at the months that have passed, and think, "Where did the time go?!?" Maybe we need to live more like the simple but elegant butterfly, who, having such a short life to start with, "counts not months, but moments, and has time enough." Something to think on today! ;-)
For today's "Scrapbook Saturday" share, designer Melissa Craig has slowed down and created a beautiful spring-like page with which to savor a special moment in her daughter's life. Her daughter, Hollyanne, is an accomplished dancer. No doubt Melissa has lots of photos from Hollyanne's dance career to enjoy, so it means all the more that she takes the time to celebrate each individual performance. To create this layout, Melissa used butterfly images and a sweet sentiment from the "Fluttering By" set. Aren't these papers that Melissa used simply gorgeous? They offset the photo of Hollyanne so beautifully, and make the butterfly digis that she used stand out perfectly! This whole page is also great inspiration as we move into Spring crafting -- it really sets the mood for this coming season! Beautifully done, Melissa, as always!
You can find the "Fluttering By" digi set (butterfly images and sentiment) that Melissa used in our shop:
This week Stephanie and I joined Word Art Wednesday in making a project with the Free Scripture/Word Art file that was provided. Go to Word Art Wednesday to get your FREE WORD ART. If you do pick it up you are welcome to use it but are not required to use it in
order to play along in the challenge. They welcome you to share your art
with them; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly,
and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).
The last Wednesday of the month so it the final Guest DT day with Granmargaret. She has always amazed me with these beautiful done 100% digital cards but did you know that she prints them off to send them in the mail?! I never thought to do that! I had heard making a scrapbook with digital layouts but never thought to print out a digital card to send in the mail! Some lucky person on her mailing list will get this beautiful done Christmas card.
Another thing that amazes me about her work is she always picks the perfect paper even though it was not meant for the digi she pairs it with. The background paper is from Gingerbread Angels. Isn't it perfect with all the stars?! She said she went simple with this card but simple can be very beautiful when it depicts the birth of our Savior so perfectly.
You can find the two sets that Granmargaret used to make today's project here:

Deedee wanted all her wonderful customers to know that she is having to take this week off from the store and blog to deal with a family emergency that came up. She won't be by a computer so I will be handling everything...as much as possible. I will keep the blog and challenges up and running with the help of the DT. The store will run normal for Non- EU Residents as you will get instant downloads. EU Residents will not be able to get their images this week since they have to be emailed. BUT if you have an emergency or question about anything with the store or blog please contact me....email@example.com and I will see what I can do.
Thank you for your understanding and patience. Yes, you can definitely pray for Deedee if you want to...she would love to have the extra prayers at this time.
