"Friends are like seashells we collect along the way." I find this to be very true -- how about you? We hold each friend carefully, as if a fragile treasure, and marvel over each again and again throughout our time together.
For today's "Scrapbook Saturday" share, our team scrapbooker, Melissa Craig, built a truly gorgeous page on this premise. She used papers and images from the "Seashells" set to celebrate one of her daughter's treasured friendships. The colors from this set coordinate beautifully with the warm tones in this photo of Melissa's daughter, Hollyanne and her buddy, Corey. Incidentally, these two pals are en route to the beach in this photo, so the seashell theme is doubly perfect!
Speaking of being "doubly perfect," Melissa used this week's card sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches (one of our long-time favorite challenges to sponsor) to guide the layout of this page. If you've never thought to do that -- use a card sketch to create a page, or use a page sketch to create a card -- I highly recommend it! Years ago, when I was first learning to stamp, my then-mentor used to say, "Any card can be a scrapbook page, and any scrapbook page can be a card." Melissa shows here how true, and how very useful, that is!
