Friends Are Like Seashells (Scrapbook Saturday)

"Friends are like seashells we collect along the way." I find this to be very true -- how about you? We hold each friend carefully, as if a fragile treasure, and marvel over each again and again throughout our time together.

For today's "Scrapbook Saturday" share, our team scrapbooker, Melissa Craig, built a truly gorgeous page on this premise. She used papers and images from the "Seashells" set to celebrate one of her daughter's treasured friendships. The colors from this set coordinate beautifully with the warm tones in this photo of Melissa's daughter, Hollyanne and her buddy, Corey. Incidentally, these two pals are en route to the beach in this photo, so the seashell theme is doubly perfect!

Speaking of being "doubly perfect," Melissa used this week's card sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches (one of our long-time favorite challenges to sponsor) to guide the layout of this page. If you've never thought to do that -- use a card sketch to create a page, or use a page sketch to create a card -- I highly recommend it! Years ago, when I was first learning to stamp, my then-mentor used to say, "Any card can be a scrapbook page, and any scrapbook page can be a card." Melissa  shows here how true, and how very useful, that is!

You can find the set that Melissa used for today's Scrapbook Saturday share here:

Last post with Donna....not so cool...

Even though Donna is sharing a totally cool card with us today it's not cool that it is her last Guest Design Team day with us. Sniff Sniff. But I know she will continue to play in our Digi of the Month Challenge and any other I might throw in from time to time! So make sure to go to her blog, Indiana Inking, and Follow Her if you want to keep seeing amazing inspiration from her.

Today she decided to showcase the card she made for her future daughter-in-law's birthday. She loves penguins and Donna loved the sentiment in this set and that is how this card came together. I know as a "daughter-in-law" this card will mean a lot as the sentiment shows how Donna approves and loves her future daughter-in-law. It is not always easy growing families but it sure makes life a lot easier when everyone gets along (for the most part!)

Donna used the following Digi:

I have truly enjoyed my time as "hostess" of the Wednesday Guest Design Team spot but it is now time to turn it over to Zella as she will be taking it over starting April 1st.

Thanks Donna for sharing your talents with us this month!

This month is chuggin' right along...

...chugga chugga chugga choo choo

This is the last week to play in the Digi of the Month challenge! The challenges end Sunday, 03/29/2015, at 11:55 pm Pacific Time.

Here is some inspiration from Pippa (DT) and Donna (GDT):

I just love her coloring of this image! That deep purple is so pretty and gives the train a whole new look.

The pattern in the paper is perfect to show movement of moving along the tracks!

This month our featured set is "Right on Track". Bigelow has plenty of options of what to bring so this digi can be used for lots of occasions.

If you participated in last month's challenge, you should have already received this set in your email. (If you participated but didn't receive the set, please contact us at -- sometimes things do go wrong with email). If you did not participate in last month's challenge, you can still purchase this set for just $1.25 this month at our shop. You can find it HERE if you are a resident of the European Union, or find it HERE if you are NOT a resident of the EU.

You have till Sunday to link up your project to the original post - March Digi of the Month Challenge.

It's a "green" Christmas over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge

It's the last week to enter Sparkles Christmas Challenge #50 - to use mostly green on your Christmas project!

So Faith asked me if there is any challenge I needed a sample for so I told Sparkles Christmas Challenge. She cracked me up because her response was..."A Christmas card before December?!" Apparently she is a last minute Christmas card maker. But she pulled through and not only made one but she made THREE! So there is no telling what I started....maybe we will see more Christmas cards from Faith before December!! Of course she did them in Faith Style...hybrid card making....check out the sweater pattern on the sweater!! Totally rocks and those are some ugly sweaters!! I love how she did the cards in different styles so at least one of them should inspire you to join in on the challenge!

Then there is Deedee who needed a break from "life" so she hid away and crafted for just a bit. No matter how crazy life gets we still need some crafty time to unwind. Deedee went digital with this card but this would be perfect to print off and adhere it to a white card base. Then you would have one Christmas card ready to be mailed!

You have 7 days to join in on the fun over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge for a chance to win a $25.00 gift code to the store! Yep, $25.00 would get you a lot of cute digi stamps. She is coming out with some new digis in the next few weeks so you definitely will want to try to win a gift code to the store!
