No Squares Allowed!!

Today Deedee's Digis is sponsoring Allsorts Challenge Blog and their challenge for the week is No Squares Allowed!

Zella and Lynn created for this challenge and they went completely opposite of each other!! Lynn went for a Christmas creation while Zella is at the beach!! I'm thinking I'm with Zella and want the warm weather and cool water!

Lynn made this adorable bag with Daniel Santa on it since she is going to be filling them with gift cards. Check out her blog for details by clicking on her name.

Oh this card just reminds me how much I need a vacation!!
I like the touch of the ribbon and the patterned blue paper behind the shells.

Christmas Critters!!

If we keep sponsoring these Christmas Challenges each month we won't be stressed when Christmas gets here. I didn't get one done yet for The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up Challenge - Christmas Critters but Faith, Marji and Donna did and they sure are cute.

If you have not seen or heard Deedee's Digis is offering a FREE Christmas Image - Jingle All the Way - till Thursday as part of our sponsorship of Jingle Belles Christmas Challenge. Go to the Try Before You Buy section of the store and you will see it for FREE!!

Both Faith and Donna used this image on their cards.

(Also used paper from the set below that Marji used!)

Marji used all four images and made a set of Christmas Cards!!
Got to her blog by clicking on her name to see all 4.

Hope you will come play in Jingle Belles - Digital Christmas Challenge and The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up Challenge - Christmas Critters.  You can make one card and enter both to double your chances of winning Deedee's Digis!! Yippee!!

Let's see Flowers

Spring is in full bloom so Crafting by Design would like to see Flowers on your creations this week. As the challenge says,  "So this is your chance to dig out those Flower Stamps. Boxes of flowers, Flower dies and punches and create a fabulous project for our challenge."

I had to make a sympathy card for the family of one of my "regulars" in my craft class at the retirement home. When I was praying about making the card these were the flowers I felt led to put on the card. They are bright and beautiful just like she was. Flowers can be used for numerous types of cards which makes them so wonderful in the craft world. Which type of card will you make while displaying flowers on your project?

It's Your Day Deanne!

Wednesday brings our Guest Designer back to share her next lovely creation!  Deanne titled her card "It's Your Day" and it's just so cute!!!

Deanne loves working with children so it's only fitting that her card features a child.  Look at all those little special touches - the twine, the button...and did you notice the mustard on that Corn Dog?  I would have never thought of that!!!!  For this card Deanne used "Carnival Kids" which can be found HERE (EU Residents Version only) or HERE (Non EU Residents).

I asked Deanne "When paper crafting, what is your go-to item(s) that you couldn't live  without and why?"  Once again you can see her paper piecing skills and now you know that of course she would answer - --My go-to items are my patterned paper stash and my Stickles or glitter
glue. I also love coloring my digis with my Copics!!

Be sure to stop by A Little Bit O' Paper and leave her some love.  She would love to hear from you!!!  And come back next Wednesday when Deanne will be sharing "a little something just for you"....yes, that's a hint!  :)

It's Tuesday Morning!!

That means time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!! Check out this awesome sketch that has so many possibilities!

I love sketches and 99.5% of my cards start from sketches....I have to have a starting point. It might not end up looking like the sketch but I have to have something to start me down a path. When I saw the big circle in the sketch I thought that would be perfect for a flower. The button took away from the beautiful rose (that I have cut three separate layers and pop dotted each) so I left it off. That's what I love about sketches you can make them your own. The beautiful rose digi also gave me the opportunity to use one of my newer embossing folders.

Even before I was on Deedee's Team and the sponsor coordinator I had two go-to sites for sketches...Tuesday Morning Sketches and Sketch Saturday. So I was a happy girl to find out Deedee Digis sponsors both!! I would love to see your take on this sketch by playing along at Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge.

A flower for Mother's Day

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday. If you didn't get real flowers yesterday I hope you got some on your cards. If not Outlawz Greetings Challenge wants you to make a Mother's Day Card with at least one flower so you will be prepared for next year. All woman like flowers now and then. I like them for "just because" days. I didn't get flowers yesterday but the puppies did have daddy get me a gift certificate to get a massage!! Much better and much needed gift! How did you spend your day? If you get any crafty time we would love for you to join the Outlawz Greetings Challenge for a chance to win a $15.00 gift code to the store.

I love how Deedee and I both went with frames around the main image and then swirls around our flowers!

NSD Challenge Winner & Digi of the Month Challenge Reminder!

Happy Sunday, and Happy Mother's Day to all Moms!!! We hope you're having a very blessed day today!

We've got a couple of things to share with you today. First, because we know you've all been waiting, we have the winner to announce of our National Scrapbook Day challenge. Thanks so much to everyone who joined in! It was a lot of fun to see how creative you got with lifting our team's projects! Without further ado, the winner of the $21 gift code to our shop AND an upcoming spot as a Guest Designer here on our blog, as determined by random draw, is....

#1...Patacake! Congratulations! We'll be contacting you shortly by email to arrange your prize!

And now, some crafty inspiration from our team to get you thinking about this month's "Digi of the Month" challenge! This month we're featuring "Dad's Day Off" (available here for non-EU residents or here for EU residents).

Tamara created an elegant, masculine card. I love the background texture on this, and how well it reflects "Dad's" chair. Of course, the sentiment says everything "Dad" needs to hear -- nobody could fill his shoes, ever!

Faith had a lot of fun creating a whole little scene around "Dad." The window and kitty are from the "Open Window" set (here for non-EU residents or here for EU residents), and the rest she made herself using Photoshop (TM)! Check out the photo of Dad she added to the "wall!"

Remember, you have until May 31 to share your own creation made with this set and link it up to the challenge post in order to receive next month's featured set for FREE. Happy crafting, and have a terrific week!!!
