"Scrapbook Saturday" is back! We took a little hiatus to give designer Melissa Craig a much-needed break, but she's back in action today with a new, totally adorable layout to share. Before I share it with you, though, I want to let you know that "Scrapbook Saturday" is moving to a monthly format, instead of its previous bi-monthly format. But don't worry -- Melissa will still be bringing you fun inspiration twice per month with our new "3D Saturday" feature! In this she will share other types of projects besides cards and scrapbook pages. Fun!!! And now here is this week's promised dose of "super cuteness."
What did I tell you? Totally adorable, right? Well, I have to clarify here that the photo Melissa used on this layout is my youngest baby, Jessie, (now a freshmen in high school!), and this happens to be my very favorite picture of her, so I'm a bit biased -- ha ha! But, when I say "super cuteness," I'm not just referring to my daughter, but, of course, to Melissa's fabulous page!
This darling layout is completely digital. Melissa created it using the butterfly paper and the two different butterfly images from the "Spring Blessings" digi set. She contrasted the patterned paper with solid yellow paper, and split the frame using a playful magenta rick-rack border. The way that she laid out the butterfly images creates a wonderful accent piece for the photo. The sentiment -- "Super Cuteness" -- is Melissa's own, as is the fun little flower that she made to accent the sentiment. I love how that little flower ties so well with Jessie's outfit. Beautiful work, as always, Melissa!
Thanks for stopping by to take a peek, and have a fantastic weekend!!!
