Animal Cards for Kids

Wow, I'm late putting up this sorry. Been enjoying the day with my husband...running errands, eating fating food and playing video games! Then it dawned on me that I started this post and didn't finish it. Definitely want to show off the pretty cards made for Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge. This time their challenge is Animal Cards 4 Kids!  Create any card for a child that has animals on it. If you play in the challenge you have a chance to win three great prizes with one of them being a $15.00 gift code to Deedee's Digis!

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you get to come play with us!

3-D Saturday Inspiration!

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned here that we'd soon be having a 3-D Saturday feature once per month for those who enjoy making projects other than cards and scrapbook pages. Well here it is -- our first 3-D Saturday share! As you can see, designer Melissa Craig has made a darling little card tote, otherwise known as a "tube bag" or "box bag" to inspire you this week. To create this, Melissa used the "Teddy Frame" set (one of our many FREEBIE sets!) along with a soft blue, textured cardstock and some pretty floral paper. The floral brads on the handles mimic the floral pattern of the paper so prettily. Melissa even added an adorable bag tag using her scalloped circle punch and some baker's twine -- what tote is complete without one of these?

Here's a peek at the coordinating cards that the tote contains. Aren't these sweet? Each one measures 4x4-inches. Melissa even hand-made envelopes to match!

These little card totes are super easy to make, and totally customizable with different papers and digis! They make fabulous little gifts, too! If you'd like to give this project a try, I found a super easy pattern HERE at "Aunt Annie's Crafts". The pattern is just for the basic bag, not including handles or accents, so you'll need to use your imagination there (not hard, I know!), but it does include templates and directions for various sizes of bags to get you started.

Melissa will have another wonderful 3-D project to share with you next month, so be sure to check back. Have a wonderful weekend! :-)

There is digitally sweetness going on 'round here!

Yep, Faith and I decided to play along at Digitally Sweet Challenges and we wanted to remind you to come play with us!! You have 9 days left to enter a project that has a "digital" item on it and is inspired by this photo:

I was inspired by the color scheme. I love that I was able to make this whole card from scraps and supplies I have had for YEARS!! I used the Friends Are God's Way digital image to make a Thinking of You card.

Faith was inspired by the colors and food in general. She went with a birthday theme. I love this cake from the Fun & Festive digital image done in these it a whole different look.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and get some crafty time!

Your Scrapbook Place: Mid-Challenge Reminder

It's "anything goes" all month long at Your Scrapbook Place. Cards, scrapbook pages, and any other paper craft projects are welcome. Link up your latest creation over there before the end of the month, and you could win a $25 gift code to our shop!

Here's a little mid-challenge inspiration for this challenge from Sandy and Lynn.

Sandy used the church image from the "Now & Forever" set along with a Scripture verse from the "Trust in the Lord" set to create a very uplifting card. Look at those fun, cheery papers, and doesn't the doily make a great matte to accentuate the church image? Of course, the Scripture verse that she used is an all-time favorite, as it is an enduring guidepost for all of the many different situations that life might throw one's way:
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct thy path. (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV)

Lynn went with a soft pastel Thank You card. I agree with Lynn that a purple butterfly is beautiful and I'm sure there is one out there in the world! The floral background paper is the perfect accent for the Fluttering By digital image.

A terrific verse to start the day off with! Thanks, Sandy and Lynn! :-)

Blooms all around....

Linda at Creepin Along is our Guest Designer for June and it's time for her to share another one of her lovely designs with us.

This week Linda did something that I must admit I do not like to do but love how it turns out - cutting out images!  It's one of those things that I can't seem to master but it's one of my favorite looks when someone else does it.

Linda shows how versatile digital stamps are in this project.  She took the flowers from Blooming Blessings and added them to a jar!  She used the outline version so that she could color them this beautiful purple color.  WOW - Linda has some great coloring skills doesn't she?  And then of course - look at that yellow border along the side....Linda loves to use punches....when asked what her top 3 crafty go-to items were she answered "my punches are my number one tool as they are so fast and versatile.  My computer and Copics are also on that list"

Come back next Wednesday to see the next thing Linda has for's soooo cute!  And stop by Creepin Along to say hello and leave her some love.

Mr. Handyman with Tuesday Throwdown

Do you have a special "Mr. Handyman" in your life? With Father's Day coming up this weekend, it might be an especially good time to create something special to celebrate him! That's what the team at Tuesday Throwdown is up to this week, and we're happy to be sponsoring the fun. Hop over and play along with them for a chance to win a $15 gift code to our shop.

For this challenge, I made a thank you card for my hubby, who's been putting in a lot of overtime lately fixing things up around the house. This is a totally digital card, and it came together really quickly using images and a sentiment from the "Tool Time" set.

So what will you make for the handyman in your life? We look forward to seeing it!

Creative Ladybirds Challenge Reminder!

Don't forget to stop over and play in this month's challenge at Creative Ladybirds Creations! The challenge is an easy one -- "Anything Goes" -- and entering could win you a $25 gift code to our shop.

Rhonda took up this challenge to make a fun thank you card using the "Are We There Yet" set. This has such a warm, masculine feel to it. I don't know about you, but I'm always looking for masculine card ideas. Thanks so much for inspiring us, Rhonda!

Time to Dive on In!

With only 2 weeks left in the Digi of the Month Challenge it is time to get "Diver Daniel" onto a project! Time to jump in the deep in and take the plunge!

I love that it looks like he is in an aquarium! And the border is perfect as it looks like water splats to me.

Love the colors combo used here and the different types of zig zag papers.

Now it's your turn! To join this month's challenge, please make any wholesome project using this set, and then link directly to your project using the linking gadget at the bottom of this post by 23:55 (11:55 pm) Pacific Time on Sunday, 28 June 2015. If you are inspired to make more than one project we would love to see them limit on the number of times you can enter! You must make at least one project and link it up in the original post to get next month's featured set emailed to you.

Can't wait to see what splash-tastic project you make with Diver Daniel.
