Can you do it?

Allsorts Challenge is challenging you to make a card with NO DESIGN PAPER....can you do it? It's funny how without even trying I can make a card with no patterned paper but if I try to do it then EVERY card seems to need patterned paper. With Faith rocked this challenge with her shaped pumpkin card.

I love seeing all the different fall cards this time of favorite time of year. Have a great weekend and hope you can find some crafty time!

Autumn C.R.A.F.T.'ing

The Autumn crafting season is just so short! Well, I suppose all of the seasons are equally long, if you really think about it -- ha ha! But for some reason this season seems to me to pass by so quickly, probably because we have to use it to make our Christmas cards in time. Thankfully, Autumn challenges are abounding right now in the paper crafting world! This week we are sponsoring a fun one over at the C.R.A.F.T. challenge blog. The theme is very inclusive: Autumn, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Bonfire. Well that about covers it, doesn't it? :-)

Naturally, we've got some Autumn projects from our team to inspire you, and of course, you can see many more lovelies over at he C.R.A.F.T. challenge blog! Don't forget to link your own Autumn project up over there for a chance to win some digis!

Meet Our October Guest Designer!

October is here and our new Guest Designer is feeling a little wild it seems.  Please help me welcome Anne Slattery as our October Guest Designer.  You can visit Anne at her wonderful blog:  Cards With Purpose.  What a wonderful title for a blog...wish I would have thought of that (LOL!).

Here's a little bit about Anne:

I am a card maker for worthy causes. I started donating cards I created to Operation Write Home; with our troops coming home (heart warming), OWH no longer accepts cards.
Now, I seek out nursing homes, senior citizen centers, homeless shelters, hospitals, etc. to ask if there is a need for cards. You would be very surprised to find out how you can help the needs of others by using your talents if you just ask. I make cards for a local church so the pastor can send them for Valentine’s Day to the widows and widowers of the congregation and A Day Cards to the single moms of the congregation; I supply Christmas Cards to a Senior Life Center my husband works for. I send cards to SAS4Kids and right now am in contact with two children's hospitals in this area to see if we can help them with cards.

Obviously Anne has a huge heart - but she is also is a mega talent!  For her first card this month she used used Go Wild.  (I told you she was feeling a bit wild - LOL!).  Take a look at this:

I'm an animal lover at heart so I just adore her card!  What do you think?  Stop by and visit her at Cards With Purpose and let her know...she would love for you to visit.  While you're there leave her some love and also poke around her blog a bit.  I can promise you this:  You won't be disappointed!

Be sure to come back next Wednesday to see what Anne has in store for us....I'll be here...will you?

Halloween Party

Now I know that not all of our readers celebrate Halloween, and I totally respect that. For those who, like me, enjoy the cute and silly side of this holiday, the Monday Outlawz Greeting Challenge is perfect for you this week! This week's theme is "Halloween Party." This is a great chance to make an invitation for the party you have planned, or just a fun Halloween card. Remember, you must include a sentiment on your project in addition to following the theme. This is a one-week-only challenge, and one festive participant will receive a $15 gift code to our shop, so don't miss out!

Here's the silly card that I made for my niece for Halloween this year. I have many nephews but only one niece, so it's fun to get a little girly with her cards, even the Halloween ones. The image and sentiment, and background paper are all from the "Treat Monsters" digi set. I recycled the pink and green curly ribbon from a gift that a dear friend sent me, and the pumpkin button has been in my stash for years, but I never found quite the right card to use it on until now! :-)

Sending Early Holiday Wishes 4 Kids

So did you enjoy our World Card Making Day challenge?!? We sure hope that you had fun with it! If you have already played, you are welcome to play again! If you haven't played yet, you have until Friday, 16 October to play and link up your project(s)! Remember, everyone who plays wins the "Pal" digi(s) assigned to the row(s) of the Tic-Tac-Toe board that they complete. We'll announce the grand prize winners here on Saturday, 17 October.

Speaking of winning, here's another fun challenge you can join in and possibly win some of our digis (among other prizes): over at Send a Smile 4 Kids, they want to see "Early Holiday Wishes 4 Kids." The many children's hospitals that they currently serve really like to have Winter holiday cards in plenty of time to prepare them for the children, as well as to give the kids time to choose some for their loved ones. You may create any Winter holiday card that would be appropriate for a child. Don't forget to link up your project at the Send a Smile 4 Kids blog, and to read the information on offer there about how to donate your cards. Entries must be uplinked there before noon CST on Friday, 16 October.

Crafting for kids is so fun!!! A couple of us gladly took up this challenge, and here's what we came up with:
