World Card Making Day Winners!

Thanks so much to everyone who played along with our two-week-long World Card Making Day challenge! We hope that you had fun with the 'Tic-Tac-Toe' theme and getting to choose your own challenge prizes. As promised, we've drawn a random row number from our Tic-Tac-Toe board, and everyone who completed that particular row will receive a $10 gift code to our shop. That means of course, that those who completed a 'blackout' of the game board will then automatically receive a gift code. And the winning row number is...

Congratulations to Tricia at "Cards By Tricia" and all of our 'blackout' achievers. Your gift code should be in your email today, so please email Deedee at deedeesdigis@gmail.com if you don't receive it.

We also promised a drawing from those who expressed interest in being our November Guest Designer by adding "GDT" after their name in their link-up. We had three entrants, so to be able to do this draw, I assigned numbers 1 thru 3 to each of them: Donna = 1, GranMargaret = 2, and Rene = 3. And the winner is...

Congratulations, to Rene at "Life in the Craft Lane"!  Zella, our Guest Designer Coordinator, will be in touch ASAP to get you set up for your November GDT spot, and we look forward to seeing the fun projects you have to share with us next month!

Again, thanks to everyone who played, and have a blessed weekend! :-)

Scrapbook Saturday: My Little Pumpkin!

When my son was little, my term of endearment for him was "Pumpkin Pie." Why? Because I love pumpkin pie more than practically anything! (OK, maybe I love a few things more than pumpkin pie, but you get the idea.) So when I got a peek at this sweet layout that Melissa Craig made for this week's 'Scrapbook Saturday' share, I practically squealed with delight. That is my precious little pumpkin -- Jacob -- right there on Melissa's darling pumpkin-themed page! This photo of him was taken at the start of his very first October. He's well into adulthood now, but I still remember that day clearly!

To create this sweet page, Melissa used elements from the "Stitchy Fall" digi set. The neutral-colored geometric accent pieces that she used set a great backdrop for the "quilty" look of this digi set. And of course, the sentiment that Melissa included is so appropriate to this time of year -- "May every part of this season be stitched together with love." :-)

Black, Orange & Purple!

Can't get enough of crafting with vibrant Fall color combinations? Well here's a fun one for you to try: black, orange, and purple! That's the challenge this week over at Crafter's Cafe, and it's your ticket to the possibility of a $15 gift code to our shop.  Now you might be thinking that combination only works for 'Halloween', but here are some fun samples to show you that it can just be 'gorgeous'!!!

"Raggedy Fall" (papers) and "We Give Thanks" (sentiment) digi sets

Tamara excels at 'clean' elegance, and this is no exception. This card is also vibrantly full of praise and prayers -- just perfect for Thanksgiving!

"Autumn Blessings" (wreath) and "Grown With Love" (flower pots) digi sets

Faith's card is so detailed and yet perfectly "homey." Who wouldn't want to come home to this kind of scene this Fall?

So, what comes to mind for you when you consider this color combo? Show us this week over at Crafter's Cafe! :-)

Anything Goes with Crafty Girlz Challenges

Have a wonderful project idea and looking for a fun challenge in which to enter it? The team at Crafty Girlz Challenges is hosting an "anything goes" challenge for the whole next month, and would love to see your project! With that much time to play, you could even create more than one project to share. And don't forget, each time you enter is a chance to win some of our digis! :-) Pippa, Rhonda, Kathy, Nancy, and Marji each put their crafty hands to work, and made some fun Fall projects to inspire you.

Pippa really brought this scene to life with her amazing coloring. Don't you love the little birdies that she added in?

This little cutie is designed to hold some Fall treats. Isn't Rhonda clever? I love how the papers she used and that darling doily emphasize the sweetness of the bat image.

Kathy D.
"Treat Monsters" digi set

Kathy has really emphasized the cuteness of this little guy, don't you think? The patterned papers are very festive, and I love the extra little polka dot accents she added, not to mention that sentiment -- "It's all about the CANDY!!!"

Nancy
"Autumn Praises" digi set

Nancy has not only created a gorgeous card that captures so many of the lovely elements of Fall, but included a lovely Scripture verse that gives credit for this beautiful time of year where it is due!

Marji
"Homework Helpers" digi set

Marji brought several themed accents into this that make "back to school" fun! Wouldn't this make a great 'thank you' or 'thinking of you' for a beloved teacher?

Smile Before Being Bitten

Our October Guest Designer, Anne, is back with us this week creating another fabulous card!  For this week she used the set Smile Crocodile.  Now I'm not sure if I saw a crocodile I would smile - I would probably run....unless he was as cute as this guy!  I think I might risk being bitten - LOL!!

Isn't this adorable?!!?  The yellow goes perfectly with the green of the crocodile.  Be sure to visit Anne at Cards with Purpose to find out more about her card and about her.  She would love you to visit...and why not browse around a bit too?  I promise you won't be disappointed!!!

I asked Anne about her stamping - what inspired her to get started...

I started scrapbooking in 1996 when my oldest son graduated from High School. At that time there were no scrapbooking supplies. I used colored paper and clip art to create pages. I don't even think I knew what archival type adhesive was. 12 x 12's weren't even available. I purchased a few rubberstamps here and there. Around 2002 I went to a Stampin Up party - need I say more. I switched to Digital Scrapbooking in 2007 (I use Photoshop Elements). Now I concentrate on handmade cards.

Come back next week to learn more about Anne and see what she has in store for us...I know I can't wait to see it!!!

Digi of the Month Inspiration!

Happy Sunday! We hope you've had a wonderful weekend, and that the week is off to a blessed start for you!

Today we have a fresh batch of inspiration for the players of our October "Digi of the Month" challenge. If you haven't joined in yet, it's not too late! To play along, create any wholesome project using this month's featured set -- "Pumpkin Patch," This set is available for just $1.25 right now in our shop, and is the focus, of course, of our challenge. Link up your project to the October challenge post by the deadline of 1 November. If you do, you'll receive next month's featured set for FREE, at the end of this month's challenge. Every month you play, you'll receive the next month's set for free. What an easy way to grow your digi collection!

And now for that promised inspiration. Check out these two lovelies by Donna and NanaConnie!!!

Donna Hanley

Donna sponged in a realistic Fall sky to bring this pumpkin patch to life. Don't you love the intricate border at the side of the card? It creates great contrast!

NanaConnie

NanaConnie quite literally framed the scene perfectly! The punched leaves in the vibrant Fall colors are so vividly wonderful!

Aren't these both gorgeous?!? We can't wait to see the lovelies that you make with this set, too!
