Bountiful Harvest Gift Box (3-D Saturday)

Happy Saturday, happy last day of October, and, if you celebrate it, happy Halloween!

Autumn continues its forward momentum, and as the leaves and weather change, so does our crafting. I'm seeing more and more Christmas projects out in Blogland, but today for our 3-D Saturday share, we are stopping and 'smelling the roses', so to speak. Melissa Craig has created a fabulous Fall gift box, rich in color and Fall feel. This little box and its coordinating over-sized bow were created using the We R Memory Keepers 1-2-3 Punch Board.  Now this is not a tool that I have ever used, but after seeing what Melissa was able to do with it, it's going straight to the top of my wish list! Melissa used the quilty sunflower image and one of the sentiments from our "Stitchy Fall" digi set to embellish the bow piece. I love how all the many rich colors of Fall are represented here! The paper bow with the sunflower as the center is so sweet, and the thick twine that Melissa used to tie on the tag adds that bit of rusticness that Fall seems to dictate. A yummy container for, perhaps an equally yummy Autumn treat, or a small "I'm thankful for you" gift...so many possibilities! :-)

Pick a Holiday...any Holiday!

Addicted to Stamps & More is challenging you this week with making a Holiday Theme Project. With the holidays approaching that's not too much to ask us crafters...now is it?! It doesn't even have to be main holidays or even ones that are close. Anything Holiday will do!! Tamara, Marji and I all played along and got some Holiday cards marked off our list. Hope you are inspired to come play along with us.

Early Winter Cheer

I love seeing Cardinals in the winter - they look so beautiful against the white snow.  Anne, our Guest Designer, has used Christmas Cardinal to create a stunning card just in time for Winter!

Anne has created beautiful cards this month - I hope you have spent some time visiting her blog, Cards with Purpose.  She's such an amazing artist!!!!  Anne's favorite tools:  Right now it is The Fuse tool for creating Shaker Cards http://www.anneslatterycards.com/leaf-all-your-cares-behind/ Dies would be second - I use diecuts on almost every card. Third would be inks- the versatility is endless.

Thank you Anne for sharing your talent with us this month!  You have certainly inspired us!!!!

Last week for October Digi of the Month

Oh how quickly this month has flown by! There is just one week left for you to join in our October Digi of the Month challenge. Many of you have already shared your fabulous "Pumpkin Patch" creations with us, and we love them all -- keep them coming! For those who need a little creative nudge, here are some fun ideas from our designers.

Pumpkin patch photos -- so precious! Nancy did a beautiful job of framing hers here. Look at those fun labels she added to the signpost. Mmm...pies!

Pippa created a beautiful ATC (Artist Trading Card). The image looks fantastic just a bit off center, and her coloring is so rich! Don't you love those little birds she added?

 Anne Slattery

Our Guest Designer, Anne Slattery, created fabulous texture here, with how she deckled and inked the mattes. Its so fun how she layered the scarecrow on the sign, and even cut out some pumpkins to build up the scene!

For those who haven't given our Digi of the Month challenges a try yet, why not? It is so easy to join in, and for making and sharing just one project means you get a whole new digi set to play with for FREE! :-)
