Gift inspiration just in time for Christmas!

I know we are in a mad dash to make Christmas Cards but don't forget about the gifts and gift tags. Allsorts Challenge wants to see anything but a card! So here is the perfect push to make those gifts.

Sheena made an adorable candle that would be perfect to decorate the house with or give as a gift for someone who likes candles. Marji made tags to put on the presents to give that special "handmade" touch. Then Pippa decided to decorate a bag to hold the gift. Digital Images can be used in a variety ways as the Design Team showed us today.

Pippa also made some Artist Trading Cards (ATC's)

Have a blessed weekend and hope you find some crafty time.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge

Christmas is right around the corner so C.R.A.F.T. Challenge wants to see your Christmas projects this week! Sheena and Marji played along and were able to add a Christmas Card to their stash!

Wowser!! Do you see all the different digis she used to create a beautiful scene. That is one of the fun things that can be done with digital images.

I love how she cut out the paper to show the church through the opening. Simple but oh so beautiful.

Hope you find some crafty time and can play along with us at C.R.A.F.T. Challenge.

Goin' to the chapel.....

I have a song in my head and can't get it know it...."goin' to the chapel and we're gonna get married...."  Rene, our November Guest Designer, has created a card and immediately made me think of that song.  She used the church image from the set Now & Forever.  And she created this amazing background that makes me think about a beautiful summer sunset!

I asked Rene what her favorite type of papercraft project is and why....

Making cards has not lost its magic after all these years, and there is a still that thrill when an idea turns out even better than imagined. And when it doesn’t work, oh well, on to the next. I also enjoy making boxes and trying 3-D items.
My style in cards leans towards Clean and Simple, but I think Eclectic is the best description. I enjoy making tags and ATC’s, especially when I want to play with ideas/colours. If it works, great, if not, it is not a big deal.

All kinds of materials find their way in my craft, especially recycled materials and finds. It’s incredible what one can do if you have to be creative with what you have and/or is working on a tight budget. The secret is to make it look like a million $, and that is what I’m trying to achieve.
I don’t really have a favourite theme as such, but making a special birthday card is both inspiring and exciting. Finding the right image(s), sentiment and paper(s) and putting it all together can be very satisfying and/or nerve wracking. Seeing a smile on the receiver’s face, is the best payment ever. That alone will inspire me to continue making cards.

Why not stop by Rene's blog - Life in the Craft Lane - and leave her some love.  You can find out more about her card and see Rene's other amazing projects.

Plus it never hurts to have "thank you" cards on hand because you just never know when you will need one. Faith and NanaConnie both made their "thank you" cards with a fall theme. Craft Your Passion

Wow we have a variety of creations to show you today. That is the wonderful freedom in Anything Goes Challenges. I'm one that likes "challenges" as it pushes me to think out side of my box but it is nice to sometimes create for the fun of it. Well the Design Team has been busy and if you want to know why or how they made their cards just click on the name above the card. If you want to see more creativity head over to Craft Your Passion since Deedee's Digis is the sponsor this week and see what their DT made with Deedee's Digis.

Outlawz CAS Challenge

We are sponsoring Outlawz CAS Challenge this month and they post a new challenge every Sunday. This week they are asking you to go through your stash and use it up! At least one item on your project has to be old and not used in a long time and remember to make it CAS style. I know I could do this challenge once a week for a year and still probably not put a dent in my stash! Of course I ran out of time but Donna R. found time to "shop her stash"! Donna went "shopping" in her stacks of papers and found this paper pack she bought several years ago for another project. She then used a die that needed to be dusted off. In the end she used supplies on hand and came out with a cute birthday card to have on hand.

Shop your stash and see what you can come up!
