Thankful For You! (Scrapbook Saturday)

What blessings are you the most thankful for in your life? With Thanksgiving coming up here in the United States, this is a topic that is without a doubt on many of our minds! For today's "Scrapbook Saturday" share, designer Melissa Craig shares something that she is incredibly thankful for -- her three children! As you can see in this sweet photo, Melissa's "little ones" still love to climb into her bed to snuggle -- even if they aren't so little these days. That doesn't leave much room, of course, for Melissa herself, but does that matter to her? Nope, not really -- not if it means quality snuggle time with her kids, and a precious photo to boot! Such is the way with moms. Our little ones grow far too quickly, so we snatch up every little moment like this we can get, hold them in our hearts, and thank God every day for them.

To frame this cherished photo, Melissa created a beautiful layout using elements from our "Leave Me Smiling" digi set. The paper ribbons and the leaves in the sentiment add just a touch of rich Fall color to accent the neutral background of this page. The creamy base, combined with the faux stitching, brings to mind a comfy old quilt, don't you think? What could be more perfect a cool Fall day of snuggling with the loves of your life, or for framing the memories of that time together? :-)

Are You Addicted...to Stamps and More?

I always smile when I see that, like this week, we are sponsoring at "Addicted to Stamps and More." It's the title of their challenge blog that gets me. Who knew that an addiction could be so wholesome and fun?!? If you, like me, are addicted to "stamps and more" (oh yes -- stamps, papers, inks, ribbons, and so much more -- ha ha!) be sure to stop over and play this week. You can indulge your addiction in a healthy way (how often can you say that???) by making anything that your little heart delights, and maybe win some digis, too. That's right -- it's an "anything goes" challenge. Oh how fun! Here's what delighted the hearts of some of our team members. We hope that these creations delight you, too, today! :-)

Christmas is coming!

It's one of my favorite Christmas Carols - Away In A Manger.  Such a simple song yet so beautiful packed with a powerful message.  This week Rene van Wyk, our November Guest Designer, has featured that song - and set called Away in a Manger.

Christmas is just weeks away and she is getting ready to start sending out those cards.  She created her own background using metallic oil pastels to get a rustic look.  She doesn't think it's 100% successful but I sure do!  Don't you?  Why not stop by her blog - Life in the Craft Lane - and tell her...she would love to hear from you.

Halfway Through the November Digi of the Month Challenge!

My, my, how time does fly! Here we are, over halfway through the month already, and also halfway through our November "Digi of the Month" challenge! If you haven't joined in the fun yet, please do. All you have to do to play is make a wholesome using this month's featured set, and link it up to our challenge post before the deadline of Sunday, November 29. You'll get next month's featured set in your email just for playing -- fun!!! This month's featured set is "Polar Peace," and you can find it in our shop for just $1.25 this month, if you don't have it already. This is a great set for making Christmas and winter cards, tags, scrapbook pages, and more! A few of our designers had fun playing with this set this week, too. I love how different their creations are, even using the same set!!! One of the many wonderful joys of paper crafting, right? :-)

Christmas Without Red or Green?!?

When you think of Christmas, which colors come to mind first? Red and green, for most of us! But not to the team at the Outlawz CAS challenge! This week they want us to create a Christmas project without using either of these two colors. Of course, since it's a CAS challenge, the design should also be "clean and simple." Clean and simple is challenging in and of itself, but throw in not using the classic colors of the season, and wow -- this is one to really challenge yourself with! With a chance at winning $15 of digis from our shop, of course, it's definitely a challenge worth taking! ;-)

Our very own Donna Rinckel is also a member of the Outlawz CAS team, and as you can see, she's created a gorgeous non-red-and-green Christmas card! Donna used an image from the "Ornamental Icy" digi set. She glittered up the silver areas of the ornament, and added a sweet bit of chain to give this dimension and to bring the ornament to life, all while keeping the card simple. So elegant, don't you think? It makes me want to pull out my Christmas decorations. Soon...soon!

Inspired by a Cupcake!

Cupcakes...who doesn't love them?!? Even those who are allergic to gluten and dairy products can find yummy recipes for them these days! Well, today, we aren't eating cupcakes, but rather being inspired by them! Over at the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog, where we are, naturally, sponsoring this week, you will find a very scrumptious cupcake photo. All you have to do to play along is craft something based off of the photo. Easy, right? Of course, you might need to bake yourself up a batch of cupcakes, too, afterwards, just to stave off the craving -- ha ha! Anyway, do hop over and take a peek, and play -- you could win some digis, and those are (almost?) as good as cupcakes! We've got a little inspiration on our end for you, too, of course, from our own DT member, Faith Anderson.

"Stocking Pals" digi set

Faith was inspired by the color combination from the inspiration photo. She layered the Daniel image from our "Stocking Pal" set on to the blank sweater image from the "Ugly Sweaters" set. What a great idea! The glittery pine branch accents really make this festive, and this is such a fun and unique color combination for a Christmas card, don't you think?
